Aftercare

Most tattoo artist have their own personal set of aftercare instructions, however all artists agree: Don't ask your friends how to heal your new tattoo! It's true that everyone heals differently but keep in mind that a tattoo is an invasive cosmetic procedure and it causes a strain on your immune system so always ask your professional artist for advice.

Healing Your New Tattoo

Using clean hands, gently wash your tattoo in warm water with an antibacterial unscented and undyed soap

Allow to air dry completely before applying an aftercare solution only when necessary. Over application can cause bacteria to get trapped under the surface of the skin so only apply enough to rub in like a sun screen or lotion

Repeat several times a day, always cleaning your tattoo before applying your aftercare

DO NOT:

Rewrap the tattoo

Touch the tattoo with dirty hands

Submerge your tattoo in water for extended periods

Expose it to direct sunlight for extended periods

Use towels on your new tattoo

Pick at or scratch your new tattoo
